Menu Plan Monday

Today is DAY ONE of the Handful’s Homeschool. I am both super excited and super nervous.

A slight emphasis on the nervous, since the curriculum we ordered (which finally came a few days ago) turned out to be much less organized than we had anticipated.  We’ve decided to give it a go for a month and then reevaluate its usefulness. I’m sure there will be more on this whole endeavor later on.

In the meantime, it’s Monday. And I need a menu. This week’s meals must have a common focus: simplicity!

Breakfasts
french toast, juice
cereal w/ milk
multigrain pancakes
Shtuff On a Shingle

Lunches
leftovers!

Suppers
pork chops & kraut w/ instant mashed taters
spaghetti
chicken & stir-fry, rice
pb&j roll-ups

Snacks
Whatever we can grab that’s fast and easy! I’ll try to make some oatmeal cookies or banana bread tomorrow, which will last the week.

Friday’s food will be a little less easy, since it’s Saiah’s birthday. He’ll be SEVEN! (Oh, that reminds me, during my time away, y’all missed Sam’s 3rd birthday on New Years Day. It was rawr-themed. Perhaps pictures will come on a Wordless Wednesday.) So on Friday we’ll be having, as ordered by the stinker himself:

The Birthday Menu
veggie and fruit pizza with fries and sausage (?!?)
green smoothies
soda
Cheerios mixed in with cinnamon toast crunch and golden grahams
cake: half chocolate and half vanilla, w/ the opposite kind of frosting on each section (how I’m supposed to pull this off I do not know)

So there ya have it. our week in food. What’s gonna be on your table this week?
